The project consisted of the preparation of construction documents for the building foundation and limited superstructure. It also included Structural & MEP systems consulting services for the proposed single story, ±6,500 square foot, restaurant building at The District Project located at in New Haven, Connecticut. The building required the design of special grade beams supported on piles in order to adequately transfer the superstructure design loads down to firm subgrade.

Seamco Arc Flash Study

Preparation of an arc flash analysis and arc flash labeling for existing electrical distribution equipment based on existing building documentation and field verification. The project scope encompassed a comprehensive review of as-built electrical documentation in conjunction with on-site verification of power sources, equipment nameplate data, and overcurrent protective device parameters for over 160 electrical distribution assets throughout the facility. The collected field data informed a detailed arc flash hazard analysis in accordance with IEEE 1584 methodologies, facilitating the calculation of incident energy levels and determination of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) categories at each equipment location. Upon completion of the study, standardized arc flash warning labels were generated and affixed to all assessed equipment in compliance with NFPA 70E labeling requirements.
